Jonathan Majors Has A Decade-Long History Of Abuse, New Report Alleges

New information and allegations against Jonathan Majors have been revealed in a new report from Rolling Stone. The trail of allegations goes back a decade to his time at Yale, which the young actor attended to study the dramatic arts.

Rolling Stone spoke to over 20 anonymous sources about the actor’s domestic abuse charge from March with charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment after a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. These sources claim Majors has a history of abusive behavior throughout previous relationships.

“No one is surprised that this is coming out,” one source stated. “It always felt like it was a matter of time because his behavior never changed. He’s kind of a bad dude, and now it’s just catching up with him.”

Through his legal counsel, Majors has denied these claims, as he did the previous initial claim, and insisted on his innocence.

“Jonathan Majors vehemently denies Rolling Stone’s false allegations that he physically, verbally, or emotionally abused anyone, let alone any of his past romantic partners,” Majors’ attorney Dustin A. Pusch said. “These allegations are based entirely on hearsay because neither of the romantic partners referenced were willing to engage with Rolling Stone for the article–demonstrating their outright falsity.”

This is where things get interesting: Majors’ attorneys sent six statements from “character witnesses” who the actor dated or was close with. The legal team says that Rolling Stone chose to ignore these statements and went on with publication. Rolling Stone countered by saying it reached out to these witnesses, with three indicating they never gave permission to the legal team to release what they said. Another woman declined to share the statement credited to her by Majors’ legal team as it was “prewritten and untruthful.” Another one did not respond to comment.

“It was pervasively known that he was [a good actor] and that he also would terrorize the people that he had dated,” said another source. It’s alleged by nine individual sources that Majors strangled one of these women and was both mentally and emotionally abusive toward her.

His on-set behavior has also come into question as well. Claims of Majors being aggressive at work have surfaced, with two members of his recent production Magazine Dreams saying the actor pushed one person on set. There are also claims of the actor physically intimidating another while screaming at them, leading to a complaint made to the film’s producers.

His lawyer’s response? Method acting. “The allegations that Mr. Majors got physical with or physically intimidated anyone on any movie set are downright false,” Pusch added. “Everyone who has worked with Mr. Majors knows that he employs an immersive method acting style, and while that can be misconstrued as rudeness at times, those who know Mr. Majors and work in the industry have attested to his dedication to his craft as well as his kindness.”

“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” said his defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”

Since the initial charge, Majors has been dropped from film projects and ad campaigns. Though most notably, there has been no word from Marvel or Disney on his future within the MCU.
